Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues winger Josh Addo-Carr has signed a $2 million deal over four years with Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

The Melbourne Storm winger will make the switch to Belmore from 2022 after touring their facilities and meeting new coach Trent Barrett earlier this month.

Addo-Carr, who scored four tries in this year’s Origin series, has been keen to return to Sydney on compassionate grounds and was linked with a move to Wests Tigers before the deal fell over.

“Having someone like Josh choose to join the Bulldogs after being the target of a number of clubs is another sign that we are gradually piecing together a squad that has the right mix of experience and quality,” Bulldogs CEO Andrew Hill told bulldogs.com.au.

“Josh has been a proven performer at whatever level he has played and he will bring those elements of speed and strike-power that all clubs are looking for in their backline.

“Josh becomes another leader in our group and will bring the sort of winning attitude that the club is looking to create here at Belmore.

“We look forward to him joining us for the 2022 season and wish him all the best for next season.”

Addo-Carr’s addition continues a strong recruitment drive from the Bulldogs who have signed Nick Cotric and Kyle Flanagan for next season, and Matt Burton from 2022.
