Blues nominated for The Player's Champion 2020

The RLPA's List of Contenders for The Player's Champion 2020 have been revelead with seven members of last year's Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues squad nominated for the prestigous award.

James Tedesco, Nathan Cleary, Payne Haas, Jack Wighton, Jake Trbojevic, David Klemmer and Daniel Saifiti have all been selected and are now eligible to receive votes in the end-of-season poll.

Four players from each team  with RLPA Delegates and Player Leaders at each club selecting the three best players from their own team, while an RLPA Working Group nominates a fourth player to round out the nomination process.

Other NSW-eligible players who have been chosen in the 64-man shortlist include Zac Lomax, Kotoni Staggs, Ryan Papenhuyzen, and Josh Jackson.

Since the award's inception in 2004, Tedesco has won twice (2017, 2019), while True Blues Danny Buderus (2004), Ben Kennedy (2006), Braith Anasta (2008) and Jarryd Hayne (2009) have won once respectively.
