Canterbury-Bankstown have confirmed the marquee signing of Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues winger Nick Cotric on a three-year deal, commencing in 2021.

It comes after months of speculation surrounding his immediate playing future with the representative star confirmed to depart the Canberra Raiders at the end of the 2020 season.

It is a significant coup for the Bulldogs who are currently in a transition phase after the departure of coach Dean Pay a fortnight ago, with Trent Barrett rumoured to sign as his replacement in the coming days.

"Signing a player of Nick's ability and class is a massive boost for our club moving forward and another step in strengthening our squad to lead us into the future," Bulldogs CEO Andrew Hill said on Wednesday.

"With Luke Thompson having joined us and Nick now bringing some great strikepower to our backline I am confident that we are constructing the quality of squad that can produce the results we are looking for in the coming seasons."

Cotric made his NRL  debut with the Raiders in Round 1 of the 2017 campaign, and has since recorded 80 first-grade games while earning representative honours with NSW (one game) and Australia (two) in 2019.
