Bulldogs keen to lure Addo-Carr to Belmore

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have tabled a lucrative offer to Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues winger Josh Addo-Carr in a bid to lure him from Melbourne to Belmore from 2022.

Both NRL.com.au and Channel 9 have reported the four-year deal is worth $500,000 a season and comes after coach Trent Barrett met Addo-Carr at Belmore Sports Ground last week.

Addo-Carr is keen to return to Sydney next season on compassionate grounds and had been linked with Wests Tigers but the deal fell over after the Storm were unable to find a suitable replacement.

The Storm speedster won the True Blue award last year and turned in another strong performance for the Blues this season after scoring four tries in the first two Ampol State of Origin games.

The Bulldogs have been recruiting strongly under Barrett with true Blue Nick Cotric, Emerging Blue Kyle Flanagan and pathways player Matt Burton (from 2022) all agreeing to join the club.
