Jan 27, 2021 Casualty ward: Pearce fractures thumb at training

Newcastle Knights halfback Mitchell Pearce has undergone surgery on his right thumb following a training incident last week.

The injury is considered only minor and the former NSW halfback is not expected to miss any NRL football. The Knights opening game of the season is against Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on March 12.
