Westpac NSW women’s Origin star Keeley Davis has been called into the Jillaroos squad for this Sunday’s match against the Kiwi Ferns in Christchurch in Week Two of the Pacific Championships.
Davis, named the NRLW Hooker of the Year for 2024, joins the extended Jillaroos bench as cover for NSW teammate Olivia Higgins who starts at No.9 following a quad strain injury for True Blue Quincy Dodd.
Davis already has four Australian caps playing three games in the 2022 World Cup, including the final against New Zealand, and the 2023 Pacific Championships last October.
Her versatility was on display during this year’s three-match Ampol Women’s State of Origin series, where she played lock, back row and hooker.
She played every game for the Sydney Roosters this year culminating in the club’s second NRLW Premiership with their 32-28 win over the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.
It was Davis’ maiden grand final win after losing to the Roosters 16-4 in 2021, during her four seasons with St George Illawarra Dragons.
