Eight True Blues have been voted by their peers to be part of the 2024 Rugby League Players Association (RLPA) 13-man ‘Dream Team’.
The eight were all part of the Westpac NSW Blues series-winning Origin team this year: fullback Dylan Edwards; wingers Zac Lomax, Brian To’o; centre Stephen Crichton; five-eighth Jarome Luai; prop Mitch Barnett; second rower Angus Crichton; and lock Isaah Yeo.
Four of the NSW Blues are making their first appearance in the Dream Team – Edwards, Lomax, Luai and Barnett.
It is Yeo’s second time on the prestigious players’ list that began in 2017 and To’o’s third. That means the Penrith winger is the most-capped outside back for the Dream Team.
He now climbs to equal-third on the all-time appearances behind fellow True Blue James Tedesco and Maroons half Cameron Munster, with four each.
Voting is open to all contracted NRL players. Players are eligible for selection in a position they primarily played for the entire season.
The RLPA’s Dream Team for the NRLW will be announced next Monday (30 September).
