Wighton shares double dose of good news

Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues centre Jack Wighton has started off 2021 on a high note after popping the question to his now fiancée Monisha Lew Fatt and announcing the pair are expecting their third child.

Wighton, who was named Dally M Player of the Year in 2020, already has two daughters, Aaliyah and Ariah, with Fatt. He shared the news on his Instagram page after getting down on one knee to propose to his soon-to-be wife in front of his daughters during a visit to Batemans Bay.

"Welcoming my new fiancee & Baby number Three #foreverandalways #shesaidyes," Wighton posted on Instagram.

Fatt replied on her Instagram page: "Yes, yes... A thousand times Yes."

Wighton, who made his debut for the Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues in 2019 and played in all three games last year, received plenty of congratulations from his Raiders team-mates and his NSW team-mates including Nathan Cleary, Cody Walker, Josh Addo-Carr, Dale Finucane, Nathan Brown and Cameron Murray.

The Raiders will play their first game of the season against Wests Tigers on March 14 and Wighton will be pushing his claims to represent the Blues again when the Ampol State of Origin series kicks off in June.
